CC2: Mid-Career Momentum – Application Form

Before we ask you to complete the application form we would like to ensure that you are eligible for this training course. Eligibility is a requirement of our funding and means that we are able to offer this training FREE of charge.

This course open to all residents in the wider West Midlands region (West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire or Herefordshire) who are:

• Aged 19 years or over*
• Not currently in full or part time education

For this course we’re looking for people who have 2+ years’ professional experience, identify as mid-career and want to progress in Film and TV in the West Midlands.

You could be:

• Working in Film and TV, in any genre or department, and looking to step up or move across.
• Working in theatre and looking to add Film and TV to your career portfolio. Two places are reserved for people transferring from theatre.
• Working in another industry, with directly transferable skills, some Film and TV experience and a demonstrable commitment to moving across.

Mission Accomplished is particularly keen to receive applications from traditionally excluded groups specially those from:

• People from racialised identities
• People that are (d)Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent
• Those who are care-experienced.
• People from a refugee or disadvantaged migrant community
• Those from a Gypsy, Roma or Traveller community
• People from LGBTQI+ Communities
• People from a working class/low-income background (or if you have identified as such in the past)

This application form consists of 8 questions.

Questions 1 - 3 ask about your experience in Film and/or TV.

Questions 4 - 6 we recommend you take time to consider your answers. You can respond with either a written, video or audio answer. Written responses should be no more than 1000 characters. Recorded responses (audio or video) should be no longer than 2 minutes.

Questions 7 - 8 are optional

We recognise that AI tools are increasingly used to support training applications, and they can be very helpful – particularly in improving accessibility, reducing effort, and enabling faster drafting in a busy and challenging environment. However, we encourage applicants not to rely too heavily on AI. We value hearing directly from you, in your own words – this helps us better understand your work, your perspective, and what makes you unique.
