Applications are now open for Thriving Mid-Career, a free blended programme designed for Northern Ireland–based screen professionals with 3 to 9 years’ experience. This course supports you to strengthen your leadership, build financial confidence, and develop a sustainable freelance career.
We’re looking for professionals working in craft, technical, editorial, or production roles across any genre, including Film, HETV, continuing drama, unscripted, animation and post-production. You might be feeling ready to step up into senior or leadership roles, wanting to build confidence in managing relationships and money, or looking to take a more strategic approach to your career in Northern Ireland.
There is no cost to participate. This programme is fully funded by our partners to ensure it is accessible to freelancers across Northern Ireland. This course is funded by Northern Ireland Screen, supported by the BFI and the National Lottery.
Running from January to February 2026 in Belfast and online, the programme includes in-person training, online masterclasses, guest speakers and guided career development.
Applications close at 23:59 on Sunday 4 January 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview between 12 and 16 January.
